FAQ
Questions people ask first
Is this a government programme?
No. Money Basics SG is a private educational initiative run by [Your Company Pte. Ltd.]. We are
not part of, appointed by, endorsed by or affiliated with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the
CPF Board, any ministry, statutory board or national financial education programme. Any resemblance
of topic is simply because these are the topics adults need. Free official resources are also
available directly from the relevant public agencies.
Are you licensed to give financial advice?
We do not hold, and do not need to hold, a financial adviser's licence, because we do not provide
financial advisory services. We teach general concepts only. We never recommend a specific product,
never arrange a transaction, and never analyse an individual's portfolio. For advice on your own
situation, please consult a professional licensed by the relevant Singapore authority — you can
verify a firm or representative on the regulator's public register before dealing with them.
Why is it free? What's the catch?
There is no catch and no upsell at the end. The course is funded by [Your Company Pte. Ltd.] as
part of its community programme. We receive no commission, referral fee or other payment from any
bank, insurer, brokerage, fund manager or platform, and no third party pays for placement in the
curriculum. If that ever changes, we will disclose it on this page before your intake begins.
Will someone call me to sell me something?
No. Course emails are transactional only. Marketing contact happens solely if you tick the
optional consent box, and even then it is limited to our own courses and articles — never a product
offer. We do not sell, rent or share your contact details with third parties for their marketing.
Do you guarantee I will make or save money?
No, and you should be sceptical of anyone who does. We make no representation about any financial
result. Past performance of any market or product is not indicative of future performance, and the
value of investments can fall as well as rise.
What if I need to withdraw my consent or delete my data?
Email [email protected] and we will action it within
30 days. You can withdraw marketing consent separately from course consent; withdrawing marketing
consent does not affect your place on the course.
